The history of oil

  • Huile de pépins de figue de Barbarie Bio régénère flacon 10 ml et 30 ml

Bio Régène oil is obtained from the seeds of the prickly pear. The prickly pear is a cactus originally from Latin America, which grows around the Mediterranean basin, particularly in Tunisia.

It is the seeds of the fig that are the source of the benefits of this oil. It is therefore essential to ensure the integrity and preservation of their properties throughout the process until the extraction of the precious elixir.

The fig harvest is seasonal from August to December. Then comes the peeling, destemming and drying of the seeds.

Unlike the macerate, which is more abundant and more economical, our organic Régène prickly pear seed oil is obtained by a cold pressing process of its seeds. This gives it its quality and also its rarity. Indeed, one ton of prickly pears allows you to harvest around thirty kilos of seeds. These cold-pressed seeds produce one liter of oil (i.e. barely 5% oil in each seed).
